Induction Loop Systems




Induction Loop Systems - AFILS

Audio-frequency induction loop systems or AFILS are designed to help hearing impaired people to hear more clearly. An induction loop amplifier receives signals from microphones or other audio sources which it uses to drive into a loop of cable. This creates an electromagnetic field which an hearing aid set to the 'T' or 'MT' position can convert into sound. Any person with a hearing aid positioned within or near the loop will hear the loop signal by switching their hearing aid to the correct position.
